Over the next month, I will share some notes from my quiet time reading and studying God’s Word. I spent years reading through my Bible each year. I used several different “Read Through the Bible” plans, which all contributed to growing my knowledge of God while also teaching me how to search, locate, and navigate the different books of the Bible. During this time, God blessed me and grew in me a desire to continue to dig in and study more and more in-depth. I began to stop focusing on the excitement of completion each year and to focus on the journey toward completion instead.
In all transparency, I spent many years above reading, but I also gained much enjoyment from checking a box and completing a task each day as I checked off the assigned reading. It took me too long to realize that God’s desire for His children to read His Word has nothing to do with a to-do list or a box being checked off.
Therefore, “Finding Joy Throughout the Year” was created and designed to intentionally guide people through smaller readings each day so that a deeper dive can be taken and the path is more fruitful through our knowledge and understanding of The Bible.
This month, I will be studying 1 and 2 Corinthians and would love for anyone looking for a monthly plan to follow to join me. I’m so thankful for each of you who follow along and support the joy of HIS Ministry. Therefore, we have purposely created different options to meet you guys in all different stages and places of life. Check out the option below that suits you best, but keep reading until the end because I have a little gift for all of you.

Ok yes please do that! I was toying with whether I had time to do your study while studying to write and teach mine but I want to do it so hopefully I will have time. Thanks
I’m so glad you are studying the Bible instead of just reading it and that you are bringing others along with you in your journey. This is what I do too because I also found that the Bible in a year plans were overwhelming and served to check the box instead of giving me a better understanding of God and His Word. The Biblical narratives can often be read in larger chunks but so much of the Bible meds to be ingested in smaller bites I think.
